Welcome to whispering yak

Photography

Hey there—welcome.

I’m really glad you found your way here. This page is where I get to share something deeply personal with you: my photography.

For me, taking photos isn’t just about snapping pretty pictures. It’s about capturing something deeper—a moment of stillness, a breath of fresh air, a reminder that there’s beauty all around us if we just slow down enough to notice it. Whether it’s a quiet morning in the mountains or a foggy evening on the beach, nature has this way of gently pulling us out of the noise and into the present.

That’s the feeling I try to bottle up in every photo I take.

I’m especially drawn to the mountains and the coast. Those are the places where I feel most grounded—where the world gets quiet and I can actually hear nature. The wind, the waves, the birds, the silence. There’s something healing about it. And my hope is that when you look at one of my photos, you get to feel a little piece of that too.

Why I Do This

My day job is in software implementation—which, honestly, can be super chaotic. I’ve come to see nature as a kind of counterbalance to all of that. It’s messy too, sure, but in a different way. A more beautiful kind of chaos. Photography gives me a way to slow down, clear my head, and reconnect with what matters.

I think we all need that—those little moments of peace. And if one of my photos can help create that space for someone else, even for just a second, then that means the world to me.

What I Offer

Right now, I offer:

  • Framed and unframed prints of my nature photography
  • Postcards and magnets featuring some of my favorite scenes
  • Custom items, like turning your own special images into something beautiful and tangible

Whether you're looking to bring a little piece of nature into your home or give a meaningful gift, there's something here for you.

The Bigger Picture

One of my goals down the road is to give back—to support the National Parks and the wildlife that live there. These places have given me so much inspiration and peace, and I want to be able to help preserve them for future generations. I’m not quite there yet, but it's something I’m working toward.

I also have dreams of traveling more and upgrading my gear so I can keep chasing the moments that move me—and hopefully keep sharing them with you.

Thanks for being here. Really. It means a lot.
